Buzz-Free Zone “Deep Work”: Julie’s code to success!
Under the gleaming lights of Silicon Valley, there was a software engineer named, Julie.
Although Julie is known for her brilliance her talents are always buried in an endless stream of emails, meetings, and social media notifications at work.
Every day she starts to code a new feature, only to be interrupted by a message or notification. Her productivity suffered and the quality of her work declined.
One evening, she found a book called Deep Work and decided to give it a read.
She utilized the methods in the book by creating blocks of time where she felt active and concentrated and decided to dedicate that block to focused, uninterrupted work.
She never stopped social media but started using it in scheduled intervals. Due to this, her mind was clear during those blocks which then produced the best outcomes.
Remember, The point is to work smarter, not harder and to do that, plan your next day.
This story is a small topic summarized from the Book called “Deep Work”. And now you know something about the book. Follow me for more productivity tips.
